NextRoller Review
If you have ever used a RumbleRoller or a Hyperice Vyper, now imagine if the two could mate and have offspring: the result would be this device, the NextRoller. Arrogant name? Maybe, but I can see why they are coming out the box confident: this is really an ingenious hybrid of the best parts of a RumbleRoller's protruding, textured surface, along with the high powered, 3 speed vibration of a Hyperice Vyper.
The following review of the NextRoller will cover all of the pros and cons of this foam roller. I hope this info will help you figure out how it works and to decide if it is the right product for your fitness journey.

How Powerful is the NextRoller Vibration?
First of all, the NextRoller has 3 speed power settings, and it ranges from 20 Hz at level 1, all the way to 67 Hz at its level 3 settings. While other foam rollers have higher Hz ratings at top speed, I still think the perception of the intensity of the power is very high with the NextRoller, due to the protruding design. More on that below when we reach the firmness category.
Regarding which levels to use, level 1 and level 2 is great for your calves and back, where level 3 was ideal for massaging my hamstring, quads and glutes. Although the level 3 isn't as powerful as other rollers, it is plenty of vibration when combined with the rough surface it is paired with.
Firmness
First off, the NextRoller surface is not only firm, but the rough, jagged exterior is excellent for providing a deep tissue, triggerpoint style massage on your larger muscle groups.
For instance, the NextRoller can knock out knots in your traps with ease, and it goes after your tight hamstrings and quads like no other roller I've tested.
However, the one downside in regards to the surface materials is that there were times when putting my full weight on it that I could hear it struggling under me (I am 6 feet, 180lbs for reference). That makes me think the quality of their surface materials aren't as robust as some of the other rollers on the market.
In addition, the quality is noticeable from the eyeball test. I wouldn't consider it to be made with premium materials, both in use and aesthetically. But for the price it is absolutely right.
Battery Life and Charging Time
The NextRoller will last for about 2 hours on one charge and it takes 4-6 hours to charge.
How heavy or bulky is the NextRoller?
First of all, at 13 inches long and 6 inches in diameter, and a whopping 4lbs, this isn't your grandma's hollow foam roller. While I don't know if your grandmother would foam roll, my point is, this isn't something you can just toss into a backpack. You'll need one of those large duffel bag style gym bags if you want to bring this with you places.
From my experience, I didn't take it with me too often. I just didn't find it very easy to bring the NextRoller with me to the gym because it is kind of heavy and big for a standard backpack, and that's my go-to gym bag.

Is a NextRoller Worth it?
After extensive testing, I would say that purchasing a NextRoller is worth it if you are a hardcore athlete with a high tolerance / high desire for an intense foam rolling session. If you find the vibration effects of Hyperice Vyper pleasant, but still need the protruding knobs of a RumbleRoller to get your knots out, this is the device for you.
- Protruding, Textured Surface: To combine vibration with a more aggressive surface is a first for a vibrating foam roller design. If you need an intense foam roller to get the job done, this is the one for you.
- 3-Speed Vibration: You can use this on different speed levels for all of your different muscle groups, and you can share it with friends/family who might have different tolerance levels / different builds.
