TriggerPoint GRID VIBE PLUS Review
TriggerPoint is well known for their revolutionary GRID foam rollers, in which they took a regular foam roller and added a textured pattern in order to enhance the therapeutic massage effects of foam rolling. With the GRID VIBE PLUS, they simply added a lithium battery inside of a GRID foam roller, while also making it smaller and more compact than their larger GRID rollers.
My goal for this review is to give you a complete breakdown of the TriggerPoint GRID VIBE PLUS. I hope this review will help you learn about how it works and to decide if it is the right product for your fitness journey.

How Powerful is the GRID VIBE PLUS Vibration?
First of all, the GRID VIBE PLUS is an updated version of the GRID VIBE. While the original version had only one speed, the PLUS has 4 different speed settings. More importantly, the level 3 and level 4 speeds are so powerful, that they literally shook the floor and windows when I was using it on top of a yoga mat!
In addition, the first two levels are also surprisingly effective. While I mostly stayed at level 2 or 3, it is nice to have four options.
Above all, I have read conflicting theories about how vibration is only beneficial up to a certain frequency/power, meaning the lower levels of vibration is probably plenty enough to reap the benefits physically, but you definitely feel good after using this on level 3 and 4, so I would say choose the level that feels best for you and stick with that.
Finally, it is worth noting that most vibrating foam rollers on the market have 3 speeds or less, so 4 speeds makes this the category leader, in terms of the number of speed options it offers.
It is nice to be able to use different speed options on different muscle groups. For example, level 1 was great for my calves, while level 2-4 were great for my hamstrings and quads.
Firmness
Firstly, the non-vibrating TriggerPoint GRID foam rollers aren't known for being the most dense, in fact they actually offer an Extra Firm Density GRID roller (non-vibrating) for that very reason. Consequentially, they chose to go with this medium-density style build for their VIBE PLUS vibrating foam roller. An extra firm option is not offered for the VIBE PLUS.
With that being said, the firmness is still sufficient, especially paired with the vibration, I felt plenty repaired after using it. Just don't expect it to be extremely dense, and I did need to use it with the vibration to actually treat my hamstrings.
Battery Life and Charging Time
The TriggerPoint GRID VIBE PLUS lasts for 2 hours on one charge and it only takes 3 hours to charge.
How heavy or bulky is the TriggerPoint GRID VIBE PLUS?
First off, at 12 inches long and 3.5" in diameter, the GRID VIBE PLUS is one of the most compact foam rollers on the market, vibrating or otherwise, but especially for vibrating foam rollers. TriggerPoint declares that the smaller diameter results in a more targeted massage, and after using it, I have to agree with them. Compared to bulkier rollers, I felt the smaller surface area enhanced my rolling sessions.
In addition, another big advantage of the smaller size is that you will be more likely to bring it with you. In contrast, some of the bigger rollers I tested end up staying behind at home most of the time. Not the GRID VIBE PLUS. It's only 3 lbs, so it fits in any gym bag or backpack with ease.

Is a TriggerPoint GRID VIBE PLUS Worth it?
After extensive testing of the TriggerPoint GRID VIBE PLUS, I believe that the GRID VIBE PLUS is worth it if you are looking for a vibrating foam roller that you will want to use, but you will also want to take with you on the go. Out of all the vibrating foam rollers on the market, it is is the easiest to take with you due to its size, and it doesn't sacrifice on performance.
- 4-Speed Vibration Settings: The GRID VIBE PLUS is the only vibrating foam roller on the market that offers 4 different speed settings. It is really nice to have different settings on different muscle groups.
- Extremely Lightweight and Portable: If you are looking for a vibrating foam roller that you can take with you, the VIBE PLUS is the best option because it is so small and compact. You can easily carry it with you or toss in your backpack.
