Since it seems the device to phone connection is not the strongest, we have found laying the phone literally on top of the device while performing the update is the best method. Do not exit the app or let the phone go into sleep mode while updating or else it will fail.

Error: When trying to update the firmware via the app you might get this error popup:

Also the Theragun will be stuck on this screen:

We tried holding down power button, hold arrows down.. ejecting battery. Nothing seemed to wipe the stuck screen. Until...

Solution: If stuck, uninstall the app, reinstall it.

Then login to the app again and reconnect the app to your device. Then, start the update and lay the phone on top of the gun and ensure your phone's screen doesn't go into sleep mode. You will begin to see the update bar move and make progress on the Theragun PRO, which means the software update is successfully downloading.

If you still have issues, please try again to trigger the firmware update again as it may take a few times. Please remember to keep the phone close to the device (laying it on top of it is best) while performing the update.

As a reminder, you are unable to leave the app or put the phone in sleep mode during this update or else it will fail. Please try again and make sure you have the latest app update from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.
