How Powerful is the Vyper 3.0 Vibration?

First of all, the Hyperice Vyper 3.0 is an updated version of Hyperice's original model, the Vyper and the Vyper 2.0. While the Vyper 3.0 uses the same 3 speed vibration foam roller that made them famous, it is firmer this time, so the vibration actually produces a greater G Force than the original. 

Now let's get to talking speed levels. First off, Level 1 is great for your calves and back. Secondly, Level 2 is pretty strong and pretty much the max level I use it at, for my hamstring, quads and glutes. Thirdly, Level 3 is ridiculously powerful and something you would use if you were Hercules himself. It was overkill for me personally. However, that is what makes this foam roller perfect for all athletes of all sizes. While I mostly liked using level 1 and 2, it is nice to have the level 3 option in case you really need it.

First of all, Hyperice designed this new version to be a lot more dense than the previous model, and I have come to appreciate that when using it on my hamstrings, particularly.

 

While it is dense and firm by any foam roller standards, it s especially dense within the vibrating foam roller category.

 

In addition, Hyperice also added groove edges to the surface for a more varied massage. While this not only enhances the massage, in addition, it means they got rid of the old rigid design, which left groove marks on your back. Overall, I am glad they ditched the old design - big improvement there.

Battery Life and Charging Time

The Hyperice Vyper 3.0 lasts for 2 hours on one charge and it only takes 3 hours to charge.

 

How heavy or bulky is the Hyperice Vyper 3.0?

While they did downsize the Vyper 3.0 a bit from the original model, it is still a pretty decent sized roller to lug around. It is 13 inches long and 5.3 inches in diameter, so you can't just stuff it in a backpack unless it is completely empty.  It's still pretty big.
